Thanks to Prince George for hosting the finals. A good night only marred by
the fact somebody had wrecked the light on the second board earlier in the
week rendering it unusable on the night. However we managed to get through
all the games on a single board in a reasonable time.

PRESIDENTS CUP & TONY DONAGHUE TROPHY FINALS

These will take place next week - 8th July. 

The Presidents Cup final will take place in Mill Lane Sports Bar and 
features Edinburgh v Metal Box.

The Tony Donaghue Tropy final will take place in Peg Legs and features
Anglesea v Mill Lane Sports Bar.

June 22nd

FINAL RESULTS

Champions Peg Legs managed to finish the season undefeated, second placed Metal Box
suffered a final days defeat to Prince George and finished 10 points behind the league
champions. Anglesea and Prince George tied for third place.

Congratulations to the league champions PEG LEGS and a well done to the rest of the teams
in completing what seems like a long season.

News on the AGM will be posted soon, in the meantime there are Competition finals still
to be completed. The first of which will be the Five-a-side and Secretaries competitions.
to be played on Monday 1st July at The PRINCE GEORGE - start time will be 8:45pm.

Details of the other finals are still to be finalised and will be posted soon.

LATEST RESULTS

Champions elect Peg Legs had a free week this week. Second place Metal Box beat 
Lobster "B", Anglesea beat Ship & Mitre, Lobster "A" beat Prince George and Mill 
Lane Sports Bar beat Edinburgh.

Best darts on the night came from Gavin Mullis of Metal box with a 9 darts game
rounded off by 161 finish.

In the first semi final Peg Legs suffered their first defeat of the season - losing
to Metal Box. In the second semi final Edinburgh beat Prince George.

LATEST RESULTS

Ship & Mitre beat Lobster "B" and Lobster "A" beat Anglesea.

The last remaining place in the secretaries final will be taken by Dave Cox (Lobster "A")
who beat Dave Lawrenson (Lobster "B").

made on Thursday night.

PEG LEGS CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to Peg Legs who are this seasons Champions Elect - after beating
Prince George this week and with only four games remaining they are now ten points
ahead of second placed Metal Box and cannot be caught.  

In the two other games played on Monday night Metal Box beat Edinburgh and in
the derby match Lobster "A" beat Lobster "B". Mill Lane SB had a walkover against 
Ship & Mitre

PEG LEGS ONE GAME AWAY FROM WINNING THE LEAGUE

Peg Legs beat nearest challengers Metal Box on Monday which means that they are now
ten points clear with five games to play so one more win will give them the league
title. Anglesea beat Prince George, Ship & Mitre beat Edinburgh, and Lobster "A"

LATEST RESULTS

Top of the table Peg Legs beat Lobster "A" to keep their unbeaten record intact but with
their nearest challengers Metal Box suffering defeat to Prince George it means that Peg
Legs have an almost unassailable lead as they are now six points clear with only eight
games remaining. 
In the remaining matches this week Mill Lane had a rare victory beating Lobster "B" and
Anglesea beat Edinburgh.

CHARLIE FROST COMPETITION

The next round of the Charlie Frost competition will be on March 25th - matches to be
played after the league games on that night.

LATEST RESULTS

Peg Legs remain undefeated with a win over Mill Lane Sports Bar, Metal Box are still
chasing with a win over Anglesea, Prince George beat Ship & Mitre. Lobster "B" had
a rare win over Edinburgh though looking at the "Good Darts" for the Edinburgh I can only 
assume they had trouble with their finishing .

Peg Legs beat Prince George and Metal Box beat Edinburgh so the gap at the top is still
six points though Metal Box have a game in hand. In the local derby match Lobster "A" 
beat Lobster "B". The game between Ship & Mitre and Mill Lane SB was postponed.

FIRST RESULTS OF THE NEW YEAR

This week saw top of the table Peg Legs versus Metal Box and in a tight game Peg Legs
came out winners and now have a six point lead over second placed Metal Box.

In the other games this week Prince George beat Anglesea, Edinburgh beat Ship & Mitre
and Mill Lane had only their second win of the season beating Lobster "A".

SECRETARIES COMPETITION - PRE-LIM

In the preliminary round of the secretaries competition Prince George beat Anglesea.

The next round of the competition will be played on April 29th according to the fixtures
on that night

The draws for the next rounds of the Individuals and Pairs have been made and are now on the 
competitions link.

INDIVIDUALS are single matches and are to be played on January 22nd on the board of the first
named player.

PAIRS are 4 blocks of 8 pairs to be played down to ONE WINNER per block on January 29th - The
venues for the blocks will be decided at tonights league meeting.

Last night saw the prelim round of the Pairs competition. There are now 32 players left in the
next round. There will be four blocks of eight players with one winner per block. The four
winners will then be through to the finals.

November 2nd

LATEST RESULTS

On Monday Peg Legs beat Lobster "A" to complete the first third of the season unbeaten. With
second placed Ship & Mitre having no game Metal Box took the opportunity to go joint second
with a win over Prince George and Metal Box have a game in hand over the Ship. in the other
games on the night Anglesea only just beat Edinburgh 5-4 after Anglesea being 4-0 ahead and
Mill Lane earned their first points of the season with a win over Lobster "B".

INDIVIDUALS PRE-LIM

The pre-lim round of the individuals was due to take place next Monday (November 6th) but
because of the reduction in the normal number of entries there is no requirement to have
a pre-lim round therefore that Monday is now a free date.

Top of the table Peg Legs remain unbeaten after beating Mill Lane Sports Bar. Ship & Mitre
continue their run of form with a win over Prince George.

Metal Box beat Anglesea and Lobster "B" recorded their second win of the season by beating
Edinburgh. Lobster "A" had the free week.

LEAGUE MEETING - POSTPONED

The next league meeting, that was scheduled for Tuesday 10th October, has been postponed
to the following Tuesday October 17th. It will be at Mill Lane Sports Bar at 7:00pm.

Monies payable are 

    1) Two months league subs - £30
    2) Player registrations - £2 per player

Competition forms also need to be returned at this meeting.

In the top of the table clash Peg Legs came out as winners over Prince George and are now
the only unbeaten team in the league. In the nights derby match Lobster "B" earned their
first points of the season beating Lobster "A". Elsewhere Metal Box beat Edinburgh and Ship
& Mitre beat Mill Lane Sports Bar. Anglesea had the free week.

FIRST RESULTS OF THE SEASON

Monday saw the start of the new season. In the first set of matches there were wins for Anglesea
over Mill Lane Sports Bar, Peg Legs over Lobster "B", Prince George over Edinburgh and Ship & Mitre
over Lobster "A". Metal Box had no game this week.

SECRETARIES MEETINGS

At the league meeting on Tuesday it was decided that future secretaries meetings will be held at
different Team venues through out the season. Venues were drawn out of a hat as follows

 October 10th   -  Mill Lane Sports Bar
 December 12th  -  Metal Box
 February 13th  -  Lobster
 April 9th      -  Edinburgh
 June 11th      -  Lobster

The draw for the preliminary round of the Presidents Cup was made at the meeting.

SECRETARIES MEETING - 15th AUGUST

The first league meeting of the season will take place on Tuesday 15th August in The Arkles at 7pm.

Secretaries need need to bring :

   Team Registration Fee - £10
   First two months subs - £30
   Initial Player registration sheet 

      money for player registrations can be paid at the next league meeting 

The season starts on Monday 21st August - paper copies of the league fixtures will be given out at 
the meeting.

NEW FIXTURES FOR 2023 - 2024

This seasons fixtures have now been uploaded to the website. There are still a few gaps for contacts
etc for some of the teams. These will be added as they become available.

July 26th

WELCOME TO THE NEW SEASON

Having lost three of our teams: Arkles, Farmers Arms and St Monica's we have three new teams to
replace them: Anglesea, Lobster "A" and Lobster "B" so we go again with nine teams. Teams will play
each other three times therefore there are 24 league games. 

League will start on Monday August 21st. Fixtures will be uploaded to website in next few days.

NEW FORMAT

This season sees a new format for league matches - there are still 9 games to play but they are not
all individual games of 301. The new format is as follows:

 Game 1 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish
 Game 2 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish
 Game 3 - Pairs game of 501 Straight Start/Double Finish
 Game 4 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish
 Game 5 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish
 Game 6 - Pairs game of 501 Straight Start/Double Finish
 Game 7 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish
 Game 8 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish
 Game 9 - Individual game of 301 Double Start/Double Finish

Players are allowed to play in ONE individuals game and/or ONE pairs games. Therefore a match can be
played with 7,8,9,10 or 11 players. The minimum number of players required to play a match is SIX.

Presidents cup matches will also be in the same format.
