In the first semi final Bill Smith from Queen of Martyrs came back from a leg down

NEW SEASON STARTS 29th JULY

Teams now confirmed for new season

Arkles
Claremont
Gateway
Liver Vaults
Masons
Newstead
Peg Legs
Queen of Martyrs
Ship & Mitre
Village inn

(We have lost Glasshouse and Newstead B)

Each team will play each other 3 times meaning each team will play 27 games.

The new season will now start on Monday 29th July.

This is to accommodate rearranged fixture between Queen of Martyrs at PegLegs on 15th July
and a possible playoff for the league the following week.

June 19th

FINAL WEEK RESULTS

Claremont's win over Masons and Queen of Martyrs' win over Village Inn means that Claremont have
finished all their games with fifty six points and Queen of Martyrs two points behind but with a
re-arranged fixture left to play. If Queen of Martyrs win that game they would finish level with
Claremont.

Unfortunately there are no free weeks left in this season's calendar, therefore the game will be
played BEFORE the beginning of next season meaning that next season will start one week later
than originally planned.

Queen of Martyrs will play their outstanding fixture on Monday 15th July at Peg Legs. If they win
that fixture a playoff will take place between Queen of Martyrs and Claremont immediately after
the game between Queen of Martyrs and Peg Legs. To accommodate this the league fixture will need
to start at 8:30pm and not the normal 9:00pm.

In other games on Monday night third placed Newstead "A" finished the season with a win over
Glasshouse, Arkles beat Newstead "B" and Peg Legs beat Liver Vaults. Gateway's game against
Ship and Mitre was cancelled and points awarded to Gateway.

Ship & Mitre to leave Claremont two points ahead of Q.O.M. with Q.O.M. having a game in hand.

two games meaning that Newstead "A" have lost four games out of the last five.

TITLE RACE BLOWN WIDE OPEN

Defeats for Claremont and Newstead "A" together with another victory for Queen of Martyrs has
put the cat amongst the pigeons at the top of the table.

Claremont's defeat by Peg Legs and Queen of Martyrs win over Newstead "B" mean that both teams
are now tied at the top of the table having played the same number of games. Claremont who up
until six games ago were cruising to the league title have had three defeats which have cost them
dearly.

Newstead "A" suffered a surprise defeat to Liver Vaults, their third defeat in as many games, to
effectively rule them out of having any chance of the title.

Elsewhere Gateway beat Arkles, Village Inn beat Masons and Glass house beat Ship and Mitre.
