FINALS NIGHT - WINNERS

In the last night of finals we had Charlie Frost, Pairs and Individuals.

Charlie Frost Finals

In the first semi final Mick Brooks(Gateway) just edged a tense match 2-1 against Dave Wooder
(ODVA). In the second semi Keith Parkinson (Newstead A) beat Keith Farrell (Peg Legs) 2-0.

In a high standard final both Mick and Keith played really well but Mick won 2-0 which included
a 7 (scoring) dart leg (D20, 137, 124).

Congratulations to Mick Brooks in retaining the Charlie Frost trophy.

Pairs Finals

In the first semi Dan Nuttie & Steve Davis (Gateway) looked to be heading for a win over Mark and
Jamie Rathbone (Masons) after comfortably winning the first leg but Mark and Jamie rallied to take
the next two legs to win 2-1. In the second semi defending champions Keith & Sean Farrell (Peg Legs)
won comfortably 2-0 against Billy Smith and Richie Waterhouse (Queen of Martyrs) which included a
180 from Keith.

In the final the first leg was a tight affair but was taken by a nice 83 finish on the bull by Sean.
The second leg was a slightly easier leg for Keith and Sean who retained their trophy with a 2-0 win.

Congratulations to Keith & Sean for winning the pairs for third time in last 4 years.

Commiserations to Mark and Jamie.

Individuals

In the first semi final Keith Parkinson (Newstead A) easily took the first leg against Steve Geddes
(Peg Legs). Steve hit back to take the second leg but in a very tense deciding leg Keith managed to
hit the deciding double. In the second semi Dan Nuttie (Gateway) took on team mate Mick Brooks. Both
players played well but it was Dan who hit the decisive doubles to take the match 2-0.

In the final Keith started well but unfortunately his finishing deserted him and Dan took his chances
to take the final 2-0

Congratulations to Dan Nuttie

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

This took place after the normal league meeting and a summary of the items discussed are

1. Minutes for the previous AGM in 2017 were read and passed as a true record of the meeting

   unanimously.

not covered by these rules. Their decision will be final in all matters."

  to

      league meeting for resolution."

This was proposed by Claremont but there was nobody to second the proposal and therefore the
proposal failed. Rule 9 will remain unaltered.

LATEST RESULTS

With Claremont having a free week Gateway had the chance to make up some ground on the leaders
but were surprisingly beaten by Village Inn. This defeat meant that the Newstead "A" win over
Ship & Mitre "A" leaves them tied with Gateway in second place with the same number of games
played. With Claremont almost guaranteed first place and both Gateway and Newstead "A" having
to play Claremont it looks like second place could be decided by the results of those games.

Elsewhere there were wins for Peg Legs over Glasshouse, Queen of Martyrs over Masons "A", Liver
Vaults over Ship & Mitre "B" and Arkles over Masons "B". Near the bottom O.D.V.A. overcame
Newstead "B" in a close match.

like it's Claremont's title to lose. But as they say it's not over until a certain not so slim
person of a certain gender sings.

In the other matches on the night third placed Newstead "A" kept up the pressure on Gateway for
second place by beating Masons "B", Queen of Martyrs beat Glasshouse, while Liver Vaults beat
Newstead "B" and Masons "A" beat O.D.V.A. Arkles, who had been doing so well lately, were beaten
