A.G.M. - TUESDAY 10th JULY

Last night I found out that Arkles are also leaving LODL. The Arkles, Farmers and St Monica's
are all leaving to join the Bootle League. I'm told it's because there will be less travel in
that league compared to LODL and I can understand that.

Unfortunately LODL had nine teams all at different points of the compass and therefore travel
was difficult for some of the teams. I can't do anything about where teams are located, all I
can do is arrange fixture/competitions according to the number of teams/players regardless of
location.

Now we are left with Peg Legs (Dingle), Metal Box (Speke), Ship & Mitre (Town), Prince George
(Fazakerly), Edinburgh (Kensington). We also have possibly Mill St Sports Bar (Old Swan) and
Lobster (Croxteth) which would give us 7 teams.

With 7 teams we would probably be playing each other 4 times (2 at home and 2 away)therefore
there could be even more travelling. Teams will need to be aware that they can't just pick
and choose which away games they go to, they need to sign up to making every effort to go to
ALL away games.

With this in mind I will call an AGM for Tuesday 11th July at 7:00pm in the Farmers Arms
(Townsend Lane).

Any proposals for the AGM should be handed to me at least a week before the meeting. Bear in
mind that this meeting is effectively determining the future of the league so teams need to
ensure they are totally committed to supporting the league.

ARKLES - PRESIDENTS CUP WINNERS

A great match which saw Peg legs go 3-0 up only for Arkles to take the lead winning the next
four games. Peg Legs brought it back to 4-4 and in a deciding game which could have gone
either way it was Arkles that hit the decisive dart.

Congratulations to Arkles

In the Tony Donaghue Memorial Trophy final Farmers arms beat Prince George 5-3

Congratulations to Farmers Arms.

To crown Farmers Arms night Joe Palfreyman completed a six dart game. Well done Joe.

LEAGUE TITLE UP FOR GRABS

Peg Legs defeat by Arkles on Monday night has really set the cat among the pigeons. It
looks like Metal Box hold the key as they have to play Farmers Arms and Peg Legs in the
